The Queen - The King

This short orchestral piece is a reflection on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III. It begins with an evocation of the moving funeral of Elizabeth II (in particular the gun carriage and muffled drums, and the bagpipe lament "Sleep, Dearie, Sleep"), and moves into an arrangement of one verse of the United Kingdom's National Anthem, ending with a brief recollection of the opening music.
